Timken added MANTIS programs in areas that required a DB2 and Cincom® SUPRA® interface. Timken found MANTIS to be an extremely easy programming language to learn. Within a few days, not weeks or months, programmers were trained, up-to-speed and developing new applications.
For more than 30-plus years, Timken has successfully built a number of business applications that have lasted on their platforms a lot longer than they ever expected them to. And they will continue using Cincom’s applications development tools and integration capabilities wherever they fit within Timken’s evolving architecture.
